“LADIES, SISTERS, PRINCESSES, & QUEENS”…

Remember Who We Are.

Remember Who YOU Are.

We are creators, guides, assistants, helpers, forgers, designers, leaders, business owners, partners, protectors, educators, nurturers (just to name a few), carriers of ALL HUMANITY. We need to reevaluate WHO WE ARE. And in that process, remember our purpose, within our designed creation.

This page, was created to be a place/forum, to converse amongst one another, share resources, guidance, knowledge, & reassurance. We BOOST one another.

We all hear, it starts with self. But how many of us are really paying attention to that? Why? Because we as women, have mostly been geared to think about caring of others first. It has even become expected in many ways. But we fail to see, that if we don’t take care of ourselves properly, and firstly? Life, experiences, and others, will wear us down.

So, empowerment is a wonderful & vital thing.

What Is The importance of women Empowerment?

Of all the activities for womenโ€™s empowerment, providing a path to leadership is the most instrumental. It does not only instil confidence but also puts women at a level where they can be able to empower other women. In a male-dominated society, affirmative action is the only way of help women to achieve leadership roles.”

How Do We Empower Young Women and Girls?
I raise up my voice โ€“ not so I can shout, but so those without a voice can be heardโ€ฆ We cannot succeed when half of us are held back.

So what is women empowerment?
These are efforts and activities aimed at changing young girlsโ€™ and womenโ€™s mentality from โ€œcanโ€™t do itโ€ to โ€œcan do it.โ€ It is about creating an environment where women can have a voice in economic, political and cultural issues. These women and girls empowerment activities boost their self-esteem and allow them to participate on an equal platform as their male counterparts.
The following are some empowerment activities that can build self-esteem in young women and girls.

Building their communication skills
The voice of young women must be heard if they are ever going to contribute fully to the world. Girls must be taught to express themselves articulately to build their charisma so that they can claim a more active role in their society.

Giving them decision-making roles
In most societies, women have little to no say on the issues affecting them, such as governance, allocation of resources, marriage, childbearing, etc. Right from the family level, women should be participants in the decision-making process.
Providing leadership space

Of all the activities for womenโ€™s empowerment, providing a path to leadership is the most instrumental. It does not only instil confidence but also puts women at a level where they can be able to empower other women. In a male-dominated society, affirmative action is the only way of help women to achieve leadership roles.
Empowering girls and young women is not an โ€˜optionโ€™ for a modern society โ€” it should have already happened a long time ago. The following are some ways we can all help empower young women and girls tobe the best that they can be.

1. Provide education
If you educate girls, you give them the power to conquer the world. An educated girl or young woman knows her rights. An educated woman can perform a job with her acquired skills. She will be able to take care of herself without being reliant on anybody. Education is among the activities for womenโ€™s empowerment that lays a foundation for how far a lady can go with her life.

2. Appreciate the women around you
Women empowerment should begin at the family level. Whether it is your wife or daughter, let them feel valued and equal to everyone else. Whether in the neighborhood or office, support women who need assistance and let them know that you care.
3. Invest in small businesses owned by women
All over the world, small business owners are challenged with raising capital. Women are particularly disadvantaged due to historical or cultural reasons. Support a hardworking woman entrepreneur by way of advancing grants or a small loan. It can make a big difference.

4. Be a mentor to a girl child
Reach out to a girl in your community or wherever your heart is and be a source of encouragement. Girls in every society are impacted by violence, drugs, and bad influences. Your act of reaching out could be the saving grace in the life of a young girl.
5. Help young women to join a youth engagement program that will push them to learn and acquire a skill
With the right skills, a young woman will be self-reliant, independent and strong. With the right mentorship from a youth engagement program, girls can take part in activities for womenโ€™s empowerment and also mentor other girls in their locality. This initiative should be taken to every area no matter how remote, so that each and every girl or young woman benefits from such programs. Youth engagement services should also be accessible to every girl and young woman wherever they are. These youth engagement services will teach the young women how to tackle lifeโ€™s challenges and live a more productive life.

If you instil the right values in a girl child when she is still young, she will grow up into a strong woman. Girlsโ€™ education can make a lifelong difference to not only an individualโ€™s life but to the larger society.

There are many other ways in which to become empowered.

A Few Empowering Things To Do, Right Where You Are:

1. EXERCISE MORE – It raises serotonin levels in the brain. You think good, look good, feel good & it changes your views about self & life.

2. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF – You have a voice, so use it! Your opinion matters & you have all rights to be heard.

3. HAVE DATING STANDARDS – Yes, it’s great to be a loving person, but do not settle for less, allow disrespect, and or violations of your standards. Pay attention to redflags & narcissistic behaviors.

4. TRY SOMETHING NEW – Always wanted to play the guitar, learn a new language, visit a nearby city, state, boro, or country, learn to dance, enter a marathon, learn to cook??? Then why not try something new? Have fun with it!

5. SAY NO TO PEOPLE – Sometimes this can be one if the hardest things to do. TRY IT!, LOL! The more that you say “No”, and mean it? You take back your power. It also gives you a beautiful feeling of taking care of yourself. When you stop others from taking advantage of you, it feels AWESOME!

6. BE AROUND PEOPLE WHO TREAT YOU AS AN EQUAL – Why be around people who treat you poorly? That is a headache reeking of negativity. Surround yourself with like-minders and people that are positive. You will feel better, accomplish things, & have a more positive existence.

7. TAKE A SELF DEFENSE COURSE When it comes down to protecting yourself & your loved ones, survival is imperative. Learn to defend yourself against attackers, especially young girls. You maybe able to save your own life and or buy time to escape.

8. LEARN TO SHOOT Many women are afraid of firearms and often feel it’s a “Man Thing.” HAH!!! Become a licensed gun owner if possible. You would be shocked to know, that many women are “arming up.” The stark reality is that sometimes mace isn’t enough & sadly, many of our Women & Girls, end up missing and or dead. We must protect ourselves & our children. Be sure to check the rules of your state/country.

{Maxwanette A Poetess} I have been writing poetry since the age of 5. I enjoy poetic expression and feel that, "Everyone Is A Poet." We all speak and in our speech, we express a message, that is usually attached to an emotion and or feeling. To me, this is poetry in it's natural form. I like to provide a forum to share my poetry, the poetry of others, writing resources, positive vibes & more.
